Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a gentle, non-invasive modality that works with the fluid, energetic system of the body to optimize health and heal injury both physical and emotional. Even though the touch is light, it contacts us deeply involving our very life force as a healing mechanism.
It reaches all systems of the body: musculoskeletal, physiological, psychological, so that it affects our bones, muscles, ligaments, organs, fluids even our autonomic nervous system which can, all too often in meeting the world, keep us in a reactive, fight/flight state. Each person's healing journey is unique and for most the result is a balanced, well functioning body/mind.
Clients remain clothed and practitioners gently hold any number of places on the body with permission, usually the feet, cranium and sacrum. Safety and resource are important aspects in this work because craniosacral encourages slowing down into stillness. Interestingly, it is in stillness that so much activity is happening which holds the key to our beautiful self-healing system. We are all quantum beings, holding and managing a vibratory energy that, when accessed, identifies and releases the blocks and compressions in our system. Symptoms are alleviated and our full health, beyond any conditions or trauma history, can manifest. This self-healing and self regulating system inside all of us since birth is accessed through the palpation of subtle, rhythmic movements, known as fluctuations, in our system which connects to the intelligence that directs all of life. There is an ordering bio-electric potency carried thru the fluctuations of the fluids that, upon contact, ignites our inherent life force that manifests our best expression of health.
Different then most modalities, it works with what the client's body presents not a protocol applied to it from a theoretical perspective. Therefore, it is quite empowering to the client because what is addressed is what is presented in that moment. Often there is deep knowledge gained, insight into our past experiences that have stayed with us somatically for a reason. The mystery of that reason is often understood in an embodied way, meaning you deeply understand or apprehend it in your body. I believe that this is how we experience the true, permanent change we desire.
